Nina McElwee holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Manhattanville College in New York and a Master’s degree from the Villa Scifanoia (skee – fa – noy – a) Graduate School in Fine Arts in Florence, Italy.

Mrs. McElwee provides St. Thomas More Academy students with a program of art and music appreciation, studio art, and chorale. 

Through Mrs. McElwee and her students, St. Thomas More Academy has become a beautiful space that glorifies God in the arts.

In her free time, Mrs. McElwee teaches part-time at the Franklin Academy charter school in Wake Forest and serves as music advisor at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raleigh.  She is the mother of six children.

Mrs. McElwee’s hallmark watercolor paintings can be seen throughout the state.
