St. Thomas More Academy
For the greater glory of god

Motto
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam -- "For the Greater Glory of God," reflects our mission to love and serve God as disciples of Christ.
Every day we give Glory to God through prayer and hard work. St. Thomas More Academy has a healthy faith life including weekly Mass, daily prayer, retreats, and special witness at events such as the annual March for Life in Washington.
Many of the clubs also reflect our mission to be agents of change in the world. Academic life at St. Thomas More Academy is rigorous, but it is one designed with average to above average student in mind. The classical curriculum helps St. Thomas More Academy students to develop intellectual muscle so they may fully develop their potential.
St. Thomas More Academy believes that we give glory to God when we support one another. Knowing that we are a community, one that moves toward sanctity, we delight in the progress of each of our fellow colleagues as they progress in their work and play. At St. Thomas More Academy, every individual teen is respected as just that, an individual.
Knowing that God reveals Himself through the scriptures and within the work of the Church, we learn theology every year so that we may grow in our faith and deepen our commitment to Him.
This is an academic enterprise, but also one which is living and breathing in the traditions of St. Thomas More Academy.
We pursue the sciences, understanding that God also reveals Himself in His creation. This knowledge further informs our interactions with each other and within the created order.
Moreover, we honor God in the arts and through our physical activity, truly ensuring all we do is for the greater glory of God.
He who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father. If you love me, you will keep my commandments. He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.
-- St. John 14: 12b, 15, 21 RSV
I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world; thine they were, and thou gavest them to me, and they have kept thy word. All mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them.
-- St. John 17:6, 10 RSV
