St. Thomas More Academy adheres to the teachings of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church -- the Catholic Church -- and teaches those truths in its theology program.

St. Thomas More Academy faculty, staff, and board members commit to the authority of the Catholic Church and her teachings by taking an oath called the Mandatum. 

St. Thomas More Academy is committed to the Catholic spiritual life, in particular, prayer and good works, as well as Catholic sacramental practices.

St. Thomas More Academy is committed to helping students acquire and express Christian virtue, so they may imitate Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lay Catholics direct St. Thomas More Academy, and while not affiliated with or governed by the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, it operates with the explicit permission of the Bishop.
